alan walsh
Alan has been working as a youth worker for 28 years.
The experience that he’s gained throughout those years is what gave him the idea to set up Anfield Boxing Club, as someone that provides a space for children to stay off the streets and out of gangs.
As well as being founder of ABC, Alan is also the founder of the Real Men Don’t Carry Knives Campaign.
The purpose of this campaign is to help keep young men off the streets and away from knife crime by teaching them boxing. He works as both a youth worker and a boxing coach at ABC.

club.
John Robinson

From Anfield originally, John had been following along with Alan’s story and the progression of ABC so, when he saw that Alan was looking for more volunteers to help at the club John jumped at the chance.
Watching the kids slowly progress on in each class and develop a sense of discipline are just some of the things John finds most rewarding about his job.
